GBE’s New Strategic Plan Signals Major Growth in Clean Energy
Great British Energy (GBE) has published its first Strategic Plan, outlining a major increase in clean energy generation over the next five years. The plan includes delivering 15 GW of new renewable and storage capacity by 2030, supporting more than 1,000 local energy projects and mobilising up to £15 billion in private investment.
Polysolar finds the priorities set out in the Strategic Plan very encouraging, particularly the clear emphasis on expanding clean energy within local communities and public-sector buildings, while supporting projects that give people more control over how their energy is generated and used. This aligns closely with the strengths of BIPV, which enables power to be produced directly on-site from within the building envelope.
