Polysolar Explores the Future of BIPV at Advanced Building Skins 2025

Polysolar recently attended the 20th International Conference on Advanced Building Skins, held on 3–4 November 2025 at the Kursaal Conference Centre in Bern, Switzerland.

With a particular focus on Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), adaptive façades and circular construction, the event provided an excellent opportunity to explore how architecture and technology can work hand in hand to create buildings that generate their own energy.

For Polysolar, the conference was both valuable and inspiring. Attending sessions on solar-active façades and integrated photovoltaics offered fresh perspectives on design flexibility and material innovation. It was especially encouraging to see how BIPV is becoming a central element in contemporary architecture rather than a specialist feature.

The team returned with new insights, ideas and connections that will help inform Polysolar’s ongoing work in transparent solar glazing and integrated energy solutions. The event reaffirmed our commitment to developing technologies that combine aesthetics, functionality and renewable energy generation for the next generation of sustainable buildings.
